Terms & Conditions

  1. Special Coronavirus (COVID-19): During the duration of the Virus, Resort Lac Ste-Marie is Open for Business and we have taken all the precautions to ensure disinfection and provide each apartment with additional cleaning products.  Also the common areas have been disinfected and we will be limiting the number of guests to ensure clients can have a safe Health Break to get away from Coronavirus. 
  2. Payment & Security Deposit. In order to guarantee your booking we ask you to pay the 25% at the moment of the reservation. You have 7 days prior to arrival to pay the full balance. In addition, a fully-refundable security deposit of $300 will be required for all bookings. This amount will be returned to you upon check-out provided that no damage or loss of property has been assessed.
  3. Arrival & Check-In. You can arrive on or after 16:00 unless we made other arrangements. We welcome all guests in person but require that you please call or text us when you’re 15-20 minutes away (driving from Ottawa, that’s when you’re passing the town of Low) in order to give us the time to arrive on site in time to welcome you.
  4. Check-Out & Departure. You are expected to check-out by 11:00. Prior to departure, we will tour the resort and return your security deposit. Arrangements can be made with the owner for a late check out when possible.
  5. Changes. You are allowed to change the dates of your reservation one time until 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival day. This will be done free of charge unless the change involves an accommodation upgrade or a fare increase (change of season). Change requests made less than 30 days before scheduled arrival day will be honored on a case by case basis, dependent on space and availability. In all cases, no refunds (partial, pro-rated or otherwise) will be issued even if the change involves an accommodation downgrade or a fare decrease (changing from high to low season, for example).
  6. Refunds & Cancellations. Full refund for a cancellation made within 30 days prior of your arrival. If the cancellation is at least 7 days away, the 25% deposit of the total amount will be retained. No refunds for cancellation made within 7 days of check in.
  7. No-shows. No refunds (partial, prorated or otherwise) will be issued for no-shows or late arrivals. Failure to communicate or confirm your late arrival 24 hours after your scheduled arrival will forfeit your reservation and free the accommodations for other customers.
  8. Leasing & Subletting. It is forbidden to lease, sub-lease and sublet the premises. Only direct bookings to customers as per the rental agreement (or online booking) will be honored.
  9.  Damage & Lost Items. The customer whose name appears on the reservation is deemed responsible for all and any damages to the property independent of where the damage occurred or what member of the party caused it. It is expected that the premises be left in the same condition as they were provided less any reasonable usage (part of reasonable housekeeping of a rental property). The cost of replacing lost, broken and damaged items will be deducted from the security deposit.
  10. Noise & Loud Partying. While Clients are welcomed to celebrate their events, all groups are expected to respect the quiet and pleasant nature of the surroundings at all times. Excessive outside noise will not be tolerated at any time, particularly during “quiet time” (as defined by municipal bylaws on Nuisance) from 23:00 until 07:00. During that period, we ask that you keep outside noise to a minimum. Please note that the resort building has been soundproofed and your sound will stay inside, provided that you keep doors and windows closed..
